Nurturing Bright Beginnings

Sunnylea Childcare Centre has been part of the Etobicoke community for decades, providing a safe and joyful place for children to grow. Located within Sunnylea Junior School, we work closely with educators and families to create consistency between home, school, and care.

Our philosophy is simple: children learn best through play. We design our days to encourage exploration, connection, and independence. Whether building towers, painting, or solving a puzzle with friends, every activity helps children develop the skills and confidence to grow.

Goverance

We proudly meet and exceed standards set by the Ministry of Education, City of Toronto, and Public Health. Our centre is inspected regularly and remains fully licensed under Ontario Regulation 137/15.

Our classrooms are led by Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs), supported by assistants who share a passion for helping children learn and feel secure. Each team member maintains First Aid and CPR certification, completes a police reference check, and participates in ongoing professional development.
